Dans ses motsMarianne is a caring and compassionate Registered Provisional Psychologist based in Edmonton, Alberta. She has a Master of Science and a Master of Counselling Psychology. Marianne enhances her clinical practice through current research knowledge and continued training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
She offers her clients a safe and warm therapeutic environment while engaging them through a collaborative, client-centered approach that helps address their unique and specific needs. She works from a holistic stance integrating the psychological, social, cultural, biological, and spiritual aspects of her clients’ narratives.
Her practice draws from attachment theory and polyvagal theory with a strong interest sparked by her support for individuals with trauma histories. She utilizes interventions to help her clients enhance their emotional regulation, increase their resilience, and integrate mind and body while recovering from traumatic events.
Marianne has a passion for helping individuals who had adverse childhood experiences, attachment injuries, developmental traumas and other trauma histories. She puts her clients at ease to enable them to open up, begin their journey of growth and healing, and find hope and meaning.
Marianne provides services to a wide range of populations including tweens, adolescents, adults, elder adults and couples. She utilizes various therapeutic modalities and integrates an eclectic therapy approach depending on her client’s specific needs.
She has training in a range of modalities that she utilizes based on her clients’ unique needs. Her training includes but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Gottman method, and introductory clinical hypnosis and somatic interventions.
Marianne supports clients navigate different forms of life transitions and adjustment. She has experience working with clients with emotional dysregulation, self-esteem and identity issues, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. helps clients with trauma histories embark their journey in finding hope, meaning and growth. She understands the challenges of clients experiencing body image issues and eating disorders and walks their journey with them towards finding peace, transformation, and healing.
Marianne has been supporting individuals navigating conflicted relationships including but not limited to separation and divorce, and child custody conflicts. She also helps parents and caregivers navigate parenting/caregiving challenges and better relate to their loved ones’ emotional and attachment needs.
