Originally from Dartmouth, NS, Marie Christianson is an alumni of St. Mary’s University (Bachelor of Commerce) and has been a practicing Registered Massage Therapist since graduating from ICT Northumberland College in 2012. With a background in competitive curling, golf and yoga, Marie is passionate about helping rehabilitate clients back to their peak performance by looking at the body globally to determine the root cause of discomfort and pain. Marie is a self-described lifelong learner and is passionate about the human body and its interconnectedness. Marie has completed her 200hr yoga teacher training program at Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio, has been trained in Thai Yoga Massage and is a practicing yogassage instructor. Marie is currently in her second year of studies at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. As a member in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia, Marie’s treatment modalities include Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release and Cupping, Pregnancy Massage, Kinesio Taping, Indian Head Massage and Craniosacral. You can expect a focused, goal-oriented treatment tailored to your individual needs. Commonly treats: TMJ dysfunction, low back pain, postural related imbalances, migraines and other sport related injuries.
