Marija graduated from Robert Gordon University in the UK with a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy in 2021. Previously, Marija graduated from SFU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Certification in Health and Fitness, after which she went on to work as a Registered Kinesiologist.
Marija’s treatment approach focuses on patient education, individualized exercise programs, as well as hands-on manual therapy to facilitate recovery. She strongly believes movement is the key to our overall well-being and is passionate about helping patients return to their activities. Whether you’re an athlete in sports, an avid gym goer, or need to get back to work and your daily hobbies/activities, Marija will help you get back on your feet!
Marija loves learning and expanding her professional knowledge and skills. She plans to complete additional certification courses to increase her abilities to better support her patients. Marija is constantly looking to further her training, both through formal courses and self-education, and in consistent collaboration with colleagues and experts in the field.
Marija comes with an extensive athletic background - she competed as a junior performance tennis player for many years, and later pursued professional tennis coaching for junior and adult players. Outside of her career, Marija is passionate about sports and fitness. When she’s not at the clinic, you can find her on a tennis court, at the gym or hitting up a trail for a hike.
