Marlee Kernick is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who is interested in working with teens and adults struggling with persistent anxiety and/or panic attacks, emotional instability, relationship challenges, and those feeling disconnected from themselves or others. Her style is warm, introspective, and attuned, with care given to both emotional depth and safety within the therapeutic relationship.
Her work is grounded in a humanistic, person-centred approach, guided by the client’s needs, goals, experiences, and beliefs. She takes a holistic and integrative approach, drawing from trauma-informed, somatic, and cognitive-behavioural therapies like IFS and DBT. She has additional training in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and is passionate about helping couples understand relational patterns, repair disconnection, and strengthen their relationship.
Therapy with Marlee is collaborative and experiential, emphasizing curiosity, validation, and interpersonal safety while promoting insightful change. When meaningful to the client, she is open to explore spirituality and existentialism as a part of the therapeutic process.
