I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT). I work with individuals who are struggling in their relationships and are looking to find or revive a sense of deep, authentic connection to self and others.
I believe that our relationships can challenge us, help us grow, teach us important lessons, bring us deep, authentic connection, provide a sense of purpose and meaning, and nourish our hearts and minds, but if not tended to properly, relationships can cause immense pain and suffering, disconnection, loneliness, isolation and distrust.
At the core of my approach to therapy is a belief that within each of us is a basic desire to feel seen and heard, to ultimately feel validated in our experience. My priority in sessions is to build a safe, trusting therapeutic alliance with my clients as a stepping stone toward greater understanding of yourself and your loved one, as well as fostering more open, honest and connective styles of communication.
Having worked in the Health & Wellness field for over 10 years, and now in my own private practice, I recognize the impact our relationships can have on our overall health and happiness. As such, when I stepped into the world of therapy, I knew I wanted to be able to support others to cultivate healthier, connective, loving relationships, both with self and other.
