À propos de Martina
Dans ses motsHi, I'm Martina! I'm an Australian-trained Physiotherapist and Certified Clinical Pilates Instructor. I'm presently a Physiotherapy Resident in Canada as I wait to complete the clinical competency exam in June 2026.
As a child, I loved cross-country running, but gymnastics was my true obsession. I spent every chance I got doing cartwheels, and pushing my splits during commercial breaks. Unsurprisingly, I eventually developed chronic back pain. At the time, I didn't understand how to manage this pain or continue with my sport, so I decided to replace it with weightlifting. Fast forward to adulthood, who would have thought that my own injury would fuel a career in helping others manage their pain?
I moved to Australia, where I completed a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at Bond University, graduating in 2021. I kicked off my physio career in a clinic that specializes in using Pilates as a tool for rehabilitation. Through this experience, I developed a strong appreciation for the benefits of movement-based therapy and left with a deepened understanding of human kinetics.
From my own experience, I became passionate about helping people connect better with their bodies, recover from injury, and build strength and confidence to do the things they want to do! I take pride in creating personalized treatment plans that empower my patients to reach their goals—whether returning to sport, daily activities, or simply moving without pain.
Outside of the clinic, you can catch me running Saturday morning Park Runs in Guelph (pun intended because I'm not the fastest), playing tennis, or making a mess in the kitchen while I attempt my Nonna's Italian cooking.
My motto is, 'Health and fitness have always been a passion of mine; my goal is to make it yours.'

Comprehensive Physiotherapy Treatment
« This treatment session option is booked when there are multiple regions or complexities in the plan of care. More time is allotted to be able to provide quality treatment, exercise prescription and ongoing education to ensure rehabilitation goals are being met in their entirety. »Physiotherapy Assessment - MartinaNew patient
« For your first time visit to the clinic for a Physiotherapy Session you will need to book a Physiotherapy Assessment. You'll need to complete a standard questionnaire with billing and personal information as well as provide consent to be treated by a Registered Physiotherapist. These appointments are booked for 60 minutes and you will be assessed and treated in that time. Your Registered Physiotherapist will guide you to understand more about your painful condition and show you how you can be involved in your own treatment plan. »Physiotherapy Re-Assessment - MartinaNew patient
« This is a treatment session that needs to be booked when you have not been in to the clinic for 3 months or longer and you need a reminder of your prescribed exercises or need to resume direct care for your previously assessed injury. If it is something new altogether, you will also be able to use this booking but the amount of time to be able to provide treatment will depend on the severity of the new injury/condition and the length of time to assess and discuss the treatment goals and plan. »Standard Physiotherapy TreatmentFollow-up
« These are the standard follow-up physiotherapy sessions that are booked following your initial assessment. They are booked as a 30-minute session and will involve continuing discussion of the treatment plan, treatment techniques that are appropriate for management of the injury and any further education and exercise prescription to complement the initial plan. »Disponibilités : vérifié il y a 2 h
