Mary is currently training to become an RMT at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and will finish her studies in December 2026. She focuses on patient-centered care and works in a blend of Swedish, myofascial, and neuromuscular techniques. Mary aims to tailor treatments to what the patient needs most, understanding that needs will look different for everyone.
Mary comes from a background of coaching both rowing and climbing. She coached rowing for over ten years and has been instructing climbing for the past few years. She has worked with youth and adults from beginners to high performing athletes helping them achieve their individual goals. Through coaching, Mary has seen the importance of healthy biomechanics in both sport and everyday life and aims to work with patients to both heal injuries but also prevent future ones as well.
Alongside coaching, Mary completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Emily Carr University in 2020 and continues an art practice in printmaking, writing, and photography. She has found through art that tactile, hands-on work is something she always gravitates to. A desire to learn more about the human body combined with the draw to work in a hands-on career made pursuing massage therapy an easy decision. Mary is very excited for a career working one on one, helping people feel better both mentally and physically.
