« Bodywork consists of the following methods
Marma Therapy-The Dr Mishra Method
A therapy that involves stimulating vital energy centres in the body gently thus stimulating the flow of Prana or energy in the body to promote wellness in the body. Prana is the vital life force that governs all the physical and subtle processes of a living being. Oil is applied to each site to aid in the transmission of energy and healing of the site.
Prana signifies live electricity flowing through the body, hence the Prana of the therapist is bound to interact with that of the subject thus, the exact location of the Marmas should depend upon the Prana of both the therapist and the subject, and may not be simply a fixed physical site. Therefore, the identification of Marmas may not be a simple physiological definition, but instead a matter of long-term practice and concentration; this may be one of the reasons for the slight variations in the methods of Marma Therapy adopted by different practitioners.
Turiya Therapy-The Jaisri Lambert Method
A combination of marma and polarity therapy this treatment involves the practitioner gently holding various points in the body which function to open, and move energy through the body in order to promote whole body healing.
‘Turiya Therapy’ denotes the transformation of our psycho-emotional causes of disease into spiritual wisdom. Turiya Therapy is based on the innovative work of Jaisri M. Lambert R.P.P. and influenced by Polarity Therapy of Dr. Randolph Stone, D.O., D.C., N.D.
This treatment is offered by Bodywork Therapist and Postpartum Nurse.
This treatment is not covered by Massage Therapy extended health care coverage. »Energy & Bodywork Therapy (60m)
« A combination of Reiki & Bodywork treatment.
Reiki:
The Japanese word ‘reiki’ can be translated as ‘universal life energy’ and the Usui System is a system of working using energy for healing of oneself and others.
The practitioner sets a healing intent with the client and then invites in the healing energy through that intention with the use of symbols use of laying hands on the body that serve as a conduit for energy to flow through and be received by the client.
