Melanie has worked as a massage therapist since 2003. Having a background in dramatic arts and she graduated with a BA in English from the University of Western. Melanie is both professional and passionate about her treatments. Melanie believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and utilizes her 17 years experience to assist in this process. She embodies compassion and a healing touch, developing her own signature style. Melanie understands that every person has a unique challenge and prides herself in being able to hone into the needs of each individual. While massage is a manual therapy that manipulates the soft tissue and decreases muscle tension, pain, stress and depression she believes in finding the perfect balance of your body and soul and bringing harmony to your mind and spirit. She is well versed in the areas of Swedish Massage, Shiatsu Massage, Thai Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Indian Head Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and Pregnancy Massage. Melanie is always looking for new opportunities to ensure her clients feel aligned both spiritually and physically. She is able to provide to her clients with a therapeutic touch, getting deeper into their muscle, as needed but also giving them a sense of relaxation.
