About Melissa
Melissa Blyth is a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPCC #4902), Registered Therapeutic
Counsellor (RTCC #3673), Certified Therapeutic Coach, and Registered Yoga Teacher. She
brings 15+ years in women and teen's health, developmental psychology, and relational neurobiology,
along with 20 years of experience in yoga, breathwork, and spiritual psychology.
Rooted in a warm, compassionate understanding of energy, mindset, and the body's innate
intelligence, Melissa uses intuition and collaboration to meet clients where they are guiding them
through embodied awareness and somatic repatterning to support their goals. Though trauma trained and grounded in Western psychology, her approach is profoundly enriched by Eastern
wisdom.
Through heartfelt conversations and a cognitive and somatic understanding of healing, she guides clients to
deepen their self-connection, regulate their nervous system, support their body’s natural healing
process, and clarify somatic patterns and responses that shape relationships.
Melissa's therapeutic approach weaves body-based (somatic) and cognitive modalities with spiritual therapies to help reveal clarity and personal empowerment for lasting transformation in
health, relationships, career, and life purpose with a focus on supporting anxiety, relationships/co-dependence, health conditions, self-worth, identity/purpose, and life transitions.
Passionate about nature, music, hiking, photography, design, travel, slow food, and time with her daughter, Melissa is a Metis citizen who resides and operates a private counselling and coaching practice in beautiful Victoria, BC, on the sacred and ancestral lands of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Esquimalt) and the W̱SÁNEĆ nations.
