In their own words
Michael holds a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a Minor in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Waterloo and earned his Doctor of Physiotherapy from Bond University in Australia. He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning
Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, further enhancing his ability to bridge the
gap between rehab and performance.
Michael has been involved in various sports during his upbringing including:
football, wrestling, powerlifting, badminton, volleyball, swimming, kendo, snowboarding, and ice hockey. Through his diverse athletic background and injury
experiences along the way, he has developed a keen interest not only in sports performance, but also the rehabilitative process ever since undergoing an ACL
reconstruction.
Michael is passionate about health and performance along with staying up to date with current evidence on best practices and approach. He has worked extensively with clients across the lifespan — supporting recovery from injury, optimizing movement and promoting long-term health. His approach is active, collaborative, and patient-centered.
Outside of the clinic, Michael competes in powerlifting, plays golf and badminton
recreationally, learns new recipes to cook, and captures the world through a
camera lens.
