Dans ses motsMichelle is a second-generation Chinese Canadian with strong ties to her culture. Chinese Medicine has been a part of her life from a young age from attending acupuncture appointments with her parents to watching her Yeh Yeh (grandpa) boil pungent herbs in their garage.
The teachings and philosophies of Traditional Chinese Medicine are founded on the principles of balance and harmony – balance and harmony within yourself, with others, and with Mother Nature. When things are out of balance, dis-ease is the result.
Michelle aims to teach her patients to live intuitively and aligned with Mother Nature to achieve a life of balance. Outside of the clinic, Michelle loves spending time down at the beach with her dog (especially during low tide) and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.

« This facial is a treat for all expecting parents. You get pampered with a facial massage including cleansing, mask and custom serums. This Treatment is highly focused on blood flow and relaxing the muscles. The majority of the treatment time is spent on facial massage, gua sha and cupping.
There will be no needles inserted in the face, as this is contraindicated during pregnancy. The pulse will be taken and body acupuncture will be included to help balance any symptoms mama is having and to help optimize health and energy of both mama and baby.

« This treatment includes facial acupuncture, cleansing, toning and a mask. You will enjoy facial acupuncture, body acupuncture, LED, Gua Sha and facial cupping.
Facial acupuncture is for maintaining skin radiance and increasing healthy circulation and glow to your skin. Specialized techniques and needles are used to help tighten and define specific parts of the face.

« There is hands on work in this treatment, and there is also a stretch of quiet time where you rest with the needles in place, usually fifteen to twenty minutes. That resting time is where a lot of the work happens, because the needles create tiny micro injuries that bring circulation to the area and prompt your skin to produce its own collagen and elastin, and they need that time in place for the response to build. The red light runs during the same window since it supports collagen as well. This is what makes the treatment effective for fine lines and wrinkles, acne, hyperpigmentation and anti aging, and specialized needles and techniques are used to tighten and define specific areas of the face. We include body acupuncture because the skin often reflects what is happening internally.
If you are looking for a more classic facial we would recommend the Biologique Recherche facial, and if you are looking for a sculpting massage the Buccal Face Massage is the better fit. This treatment is not suitable during pregnancy, please book the Mama Facial instead.
