About Momna
When you feel overwhelmed by the demands of life, relationships, family expectations, or the
emotional weight of past experiences, it can be difficult to know where to begin. You may be
navigating anxiety, trauma, identity struggles, motherhood, relationship challenges, or the
pressure of balancing your own needs while caring for others. Therapy can provide a space
where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
If you're looking for counselling in Cambridge, Momna Sajid, BA, BASc, MACP, Registered
Psychotherapist (Qualifying), provides compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy with a trauma-informed and culturally informed approach. She has experience supporting individuals,
couples, and families through challenges related to anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, life
transitions, and women’s mental health concerns. Momna is passionate about supporting
women navigating identity, self-worth, cultural expectations, motherhood, and the unique
challenges that can come with family and relationship dynamics.
Momna uses trauma-informed approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Solution-Focused approaches. The modalities used in
sessions are thoughtfully tailored to your individual needs, experiences, and goals, recognizing
that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process.
Her approach draws from evidence-based and relational therapies, blending reflection with
practical tools to help clients better understand themselves, process past experiences, and
develop healthier ways of responding to challenges in daily life. Some sessions may focus on
exploring past experiences, trauma, or relationship patterns that continue to impact the present.
Other sessions may involve building coping strategies, challenging unhelpful thoughts,
strengthening communication, improving emotional regulation, or creating a stronger sense of
self.
With experience in family and couples counselling, Momna supports clients in navigating
communication challenges, rebuilding connection, and creating healthier relationships. She
offers therapy sessions in English and Urdu, creating a welcoming space where clients can
feel comfortable bringing their full selves into the therapeutic process.
As part of CARESPACE’s coordinated care approach, Momna recognizes that mental health is
connected to overall wellbeing. When appropriate, she collaborates alongside other
CARESPACE practitioners to support clients with a more holistic approach that considers the
relationship between mental health, physical health, lifestyle, and overall wellness. Your care
remains centered around your individual goals, experiences, and the support you need to move
forward.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your relationship, or your family, therapy can be a
place to gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
