Dans ses motsMonica is a licensed Physiotherapist who works at Maritime Chiropractic & Wellness. She also works part-time as a lab instructor at Dalhousie University and is the President of the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association.
She is originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick but has lived in Halifax for over 10 years. She graduated with a BSc in Kinesiology with honours from the University of New Brunswick, where she competed for the University’s Swim Team. Monica moved to Halifax to further pursue her education at Dalhousie University. There, she obtained a MSc in Physiotherapy and a MSc in Rehabilitation Research, being the first to complete the dual program within the School of Physiotherapy.
Monica loves the ocean, music, travel, and sports. Growing up Monica played a variety of sports but focused most of her energy on swimming, attending many national competitions including two Canada Summer Games. Monica now fuels her passion for athletics by participating in a local volleyball league. You can also find her at various exercise classes around the city and in the summers expect to find her out on the golf course!
Monica's physiotherapy interests lie in orthopaedics and she has a special interest in treating golfers. She has done further education on chronic pain, vestibular rehabilitation and shoulder rehabilitation. She has her Titliest Performance Institute Level 1 Certification and is working on her Level 2 Medical Certification.
