Dans ses motsNisha is a dedicated Registered Psychotherapist with specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a transformative, evidence-based approach for healing Trauma, Anxiety, and Emotional Distress. EMDR lies at the heart of her trauma-informed practice, guiding clients through the process of healing and empowering them to move forward with strength and resilience.

Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and client-centered — always meeting clients where they are on their journey.
Nisha works with Teens, Adults, Couples, and Families navigating challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. As an immigrant herself, she brings a deep understanding of cultural identity, adjustment, and the challenges of belonging. This lived experience enriches her practice, ensuring that it is culturally sensitive and empathetic.
Nisha believes in the innate ability of each person to heal with the right support. Her practice is grounded in authenticity, respect, and the power of a safe therapeutic relationship.
###Her guiding philosophy is simple: “Meet people where they are, not where you expect them to be.”###
Nisha offers in-person as well as Virtual therapy in Cambridge, Kitchener and Brantford, as well as secure virtual sessions across Ontario — available in English, Hindi, and Gujarati, ensuring you can connect in the language and style that feels most comfortable for you.
Outside of therapy, Nisha is a proud mom and finds peace in gardening. She believes that, much like growth in nature, healing takes time, care, and the right environment.

Psychotherapy AssessmentNew patient
« A psychotherapy assessment is the first step in beginning therapy and typically lasts 50 minutes. During this session, the therapist creates a safe, supportive space to learn about your current concerns, personal history, and goals for therapy. The assessment is collaborative — it is not a test, but rather an open conversation designed to better understand your experiences, strengths, and challenges.
Your therapist may explore areas such as mood, stress, relationships, coping strategies, and past experiences that may be influencing your wellbeing. Evidence-based tools or questionnaires may also be used to guide the process. By the end of the session, you and your therapist will begin developing a personalized treatment plan, drawing from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other evidence-based therapies.
This 50-minute assessment provides clarity, direction, and a strong foundation for your therapeutic journey, ensuring care that is tailored to your unique needs. »2 optionsPsychotherapy Treatment
