About Patricia
Hello, I’m Patricia Mirth (she/her). I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor, meditation teacher, poet, and workshop facilitator. As a Filipina immigrant and settler, I bring a multicultural and anti-oppressive lens to my work – meaning I centre the ways culture, lived experience, and identity shape our unique stories of strength and struggle.
I work with adults, youth and children from all backgrounds and ages. As a person-first, heart-led human with racialized lived experience, I show up for clients with deep care, compassion and authenticity. Working together is a special collaboration that will likely include laughter, creativity and learning. With adults, I enjoy working on increasing mind-body connection, emotional/nervous system regulation, inner child and ancestral trauma healing.
With children/youth, I specialized in coping skills, emotional literacy, communication, and understanding the self. To all, I hope to create gentle, brave spaces where people feel seen, understood and empowered.
I offer clinical counselling sessions tailored to your specific goals, history, and preferences. I use an integrative, holistic approach, blending Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Poetry Therapy through a decolonial and liberation psychology lens. Our work together may include a blend of talk therapy, psychoeducation, somatic processing, and reflective creative practices
