About Pawan
Pawan Chera is a practicum student currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. As an Indo Canadian woman, she brings a culturally informed and compassionate perspective to her work, honouring the diverse identities, stories, and lived experiences each client carries.
Pawan’s developing therapeutic approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and respect for each person’s inherent strengths. While she is particularly drawn to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she remains open and eager to integrate additional modalities as she continues expanding her clinical knowledge and experience. Her goal is to meet clients where they are and support them in ways that feel meaningful, empowering, and uniquely tailored to their needs.
In addition to her training, Pawan works at a neurological rehabilitation clinic, where she provides speech therapy support to children. This experience has deepened her appreciation for neurodiversity, resilience, and the many ways individuals grow and adapt through both challenges and change.
Pawan is passionate about creating a warm, non judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, reflect on what matters most to them, and develop tools that support healing and personal growth. She believes that each person’s journey is deeply personal, and she is committed to walking alongside her clients with empathy, openness, and genuine care.
Whether supporting individuals navigating emotional well being, life transitions, or personal challenges, Pawan’s intention is to co create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, understanding, and the hope for meaningful change.
