À propos de Rachel
Dans ses motsI am passionate about seeing individuals, couples, and families thrive where they are. We have all been created for a purpose, and I thrive to help others find that purpose. Being stuck in inefficient ways of thinking can trap us. I approach each client through a comprehensive biological, psychological, social, and spiritual approach. I strive to create a non-judgemental and safe space for each client.
I am train in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focussed Therapy (SFT), and Narrative Therapy. My approach is eclectic using scientific based theories that are tailored to each client. Components of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness Based Therapies among other modalities can also be found in my approach.
I work with an array of symptoms from anxiety and depression to domestic violence and abuse cases. Some of my experience includes working with PTSD symptomology as a result of trauma, self-esteem issues, suicidal ideation, and coping skills. In addition, I have worked with teens, parents, and couples with relationship difficulties.
I've achieved a Bachelors of Sociology (BaSoc) from Indiana Wesleyan University in USA and Masters in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University in Canada. I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) registration #12196, in addition, I am member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Aside from my educational experience, I have over 20 years of experience working with children, teenagers, and parents in schools, churches, and community activities.
I'd be honoured to walk this part of your journey with you.
