Dans ses motsMy name is Raquel Marques and I am a Registered Massage Therapist. I graduated with Honours from the Massage Therapy program at Humber College and hold a BA in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University. During my three-year program at Humber, I completed six diverse clinical placements, working with a wide range of patient populations including prenatal and postpartum clients, infants and children, individuals with mental health and neurological conditions, and those receiving palliative care. These placements took place in respected settings such as Sick Kids Hospital, Neurochangers, Michael Garron Withdrawal Centre, Circle of Care, and Black Creek Health Care Centre.
###Why Work With Me
I’m dedicated to helping patients return to their daily activities through a holistic and client-centered approach. My clinical interests include sports rehabilitation, prenatal and postpartum care, and infant massage therapy. I have completed additional training in both prenatal and postpartum massage therapy, as well as infant massage. My passion for massage therapy was sparked during my teenage years through my involvement in over 15 different sports, including karate, volleyball, gymnastics, flag football, and tennis. These experiences have given me a firsthand appreciation for the importance of physical recovery and well-being.

With a strong foundation in human biology and health sciences, I apply the Biopsychosocial Model to guide my clinical reasoning and practice. I believe in working collaboratively with my patients, ensuring they are active participants in their treatment journey. Open communication, education, and individualized care are at the core of my approach. I’m committed to continuing my professional development and delivering evidence-informed treatments that support each patient’s unique goals.
