BIO
Reesa is an internationally trained physiotherapist who earned her Bachelor’s degree in
Physiotherapy from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines in 2016. With nearly a
decade of clinical experience, she has developed a strong and well-rounded foundation through
her work in a teaching hospital, where she treated a diverse range of cases including
musculoskeletal, post-operative, neurological, and pediatric conditions across inpatient,
outpatient/clinic, and bedside settings. This environment fostered her evidence-informed,
hands-on approach to care.
Since moving to Canada, she has focused her practice primarily on musculoskeletal
rehabilitation, including ICBC and WCB-related injuries. She is committed to helping clients
return to meaningful activities—whether that means walking a little longer, running an extra
kilometer, or simply moving with less pain.
Reesa believes that physiotherapy goes beyond treatment techniques. She values building
genuine connections with her clients by actively listening to their concerns and understanding
the full picture of their health. She views recovery as a collaborative process, where her role as
a physiotherapist is one part of a larger team that includes the client and other healthcare
professionals.
Fluent in both English and Tagalog, she strives to create a comfortable and supportive
environment for clients from diverse backgrounds.
SOMETHING YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT ME
- I’m just now discovering my love for cooking. My night routine usually involves scrolling
TikTok for new recipes to try.
- I enjoy skipping rope and learning new tricks. It’s both relaxing and fun, especially when
I’m listening to music and turning it into my own little choreography.
- I used to teach and supervise student interns at the hospital I worked at in the
Philippines. Funny enough, my kindergarten yearbook said I wanted to be a teacher, so I
guess that worked out.
