About Richard
Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Trained
I am a compassionate and innovative therapist with over 15 years of experience in progressive mental health counseling across social services, clinical, and community-based settings. Holding a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto, I provide anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and client-centered care.
I specialize in supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, grief and loss, ADHD, and substance use. My eclectic approach integrates Existential, Emotionally Focused, Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic, and Motivational Interviewing modalities.
As a proud, racialized, cis-gay man deeply connected to the 2SLGBTQ+ community, I offer queer-affirming support on sexuality, gender identity/expression, non-monogamous relationships, body image, and sexual health.
I am a certified psilocybin therapist with TheraPsil and an experienced psychedelic user and firmly believe in the transformative potential of this psychedelic-assisted treatment for those facing debilitating mental health conditions.
I strive to create a safe, inclusive space for self-discovery, healing, and growth, empowering clients to embrace their authenticity and cultivate inner strengths on their journey to well-being.
