Dans ses motsRobert is a registered physiotherapist with a special interest in assessing and treating a variety of musculoskeletal-related injuries and conditions. Robert went to the University of Windsor to obtain his bachelor’s degree in human kinetics before completing and obtaining his master’s degree in physiotherapy at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
Robert has a special interest in movement therapy/exercise therapy and is currently taking Advanced Movement Therapist (AMT) level 1 course. Robert has also completed courses to add to his knowledge regarding referred and radicular pain patterns in orthopaedic physiotherapy. Robert is certified in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) treatment techniques. Robert also has a special interest in working with post-surgical rehab populations, including total knee replacement and total hip replacements.
Robert wanted to become a physiotherapist because he wanted to help others achieved their health-related functional goals. As a Type 1 diabetic, he has always taken his health very seriously, which is why he keeps up with an active lifestyle and understands that while good health begins from within, we sometimes need someone to help guide us in achieving our functional goals.
Robert practices physiotherapy with a hands-on approach by utilizing manual therapy techniques to help facilitate a decrease in pain or increase in mobility, while also demonstrating his knowledge of exercise/movement therapy to help people maintain/increase their strength or reach their specific functional goals.
