À propos de Robin

Dans ses mots
Robin Young, OMP Osteopathic Manual Practitioner Clinic Founder/Director Robin Young is a proud Mama, an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and the founder of Robin's Nest Family Care. She attended the Canadian College of Osteopathy and completed her thesis in 2009. Following that Robin had her first child and started working on this vision that she had for a space for family care where a crying child was understood and siblings were welcomed. In October of 2015 Robin's Nest's doors were opened and a dream realized. Robin continues her education in fertility, pregnancy and pediatrics to keep up to date on the latest research to best help her patients' concerns. She is very enthusiastic about her work and it is evident by the smile on her face. Robin attended the University of Guelph and received her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics in 2000 and maintains her Registered Kinesiologist designation to date. After that she trained at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, In 2009, following 5 years of study and the completion of her thesis she received her Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice. During her years of study at the college she completed many courses in cranial osteopathy, myofascial release, muscle energy, visceral manipulation, neural manipulation, obstetrics and pediatrics. Robin discovered the benefits of Osteopathy following her experiences working in both chiropractic and physiotherapy practices. Osteopathy is a wholistic approach to treating the body which takes into account every stressful event your body has been through to date. Osteopathy is a natural medicine with a basic philosophy that the body has an innate ability to self-regulate and self-heal. Osteopathic treatment uses a gentle “hands-on” or manual approach to identify areas of the body that are restricted and to gently release these areas in order to restore normal function. Osteopaths’ main tools are their hands and highly refined sense of palpation, which they use to assess the state of the body’s tissues and systems. Osteopathic Manual Practitioners have a strong base in anatomy and physiology upon which to base their manual techniques. These manual techniques will allow them to get you back to doing what you love efficiently and effectively. Following the completion of her thesis she got pregnant and had a son. He has inspired her passion for working with children, babies and pregnant women. Following that she developed an interest in helping couples with fertility issues. Robin has taken many courses and continues to further her study in these areas because she believes that osteopathy is an untapped resource. Robin now has two young children who keep her and her husband very busy. When she isn’t working or playing with her family, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and going for long walks in the woods.

Robin is amazing. Excellent with kids and worked with my toddlers at the same time! Gave us honest and realistic suggestions. Very thorough, has toys to distract them. She is a toddler whisperer!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Robin is an incredible osteopath who truly takes the time to listen attentively to all of your concerns in order to fully understand your needs. She is extremely knowledgeable and able to identify problem areas through her practice with such care and precision. She is very in tune with the patient’s body and approaches treatment in a thoughtful and holistic way. I personally see Robin for treatment, and I also bring my 3-year-old daughter to see her as well. Robin is wonderful with both adults and children, always making us feel comfortable and cared for. She provides excellent suggestions and creates a thorough treatment plan tailored to each individual. We always leave feeling supported and in great hands. Highly recommend! A special mention as well to Sarah at reception, who is always so warm, helpful, and accommodating. From the moment you walk through the door, she creates such a welcoming atmosphere and space that immediately puts you at ease. Highly recommend this wonderful team!!!Lire la suiteRéduire
