About Roumina
Roumina Popatia is a Master of Counselling candidate with more than two decades of experience as an educator, learning support teacher, and advocate for children, teens, and families. Her work in community and school settings has equipped her to support individuals, couples, and young people through a wide range of emotional, relational, and developmental challenges.
In her counselling practice, Roumina is developing a grounded, evidence‑informed approach. She is particularly drawn to helping clients understand patterns of anxiety, strengthen communication and connection, and build clarity, resilience, and self‑trust.
Roumina brings a nuanced appreciation for how culture, migration, identity, and intergenerational dynamics shape lived experience. Her perspective is further enriched by her journey as a mother who raised two adult children, offering her lived insight into family systems, life transitions, and the complexities of everyday life.
