Ryan is passionate about empowering patients to achieve their goals through collaborative plans of care. He integrates exercise, manual therapy, and patient feedback to develop personalized and effective care plans that help patients reach their goals.
Ryan was inspired to pursue a career in physiotherapy after experiencing firsthand the profound impact it can have on someone’s life. As an avid athlete growing up, he faced several injuries across multiple sports. Fortunately, with the help of physiotherapy, he was able to recover and return to full participation in both sports and everyday life—an experience that fueled his passion for helping others do the same.
Ryan is committed to putting patients first by recognizing that each person’s journey is different and deserves a tailored approach. He takes the time to understand each individual’s goals and needs, whether they’re a child, an elite athlete, or someone simply looking to stay active. Ryan has worked with patients of all backgrounds and strives to help them reach their full potential—whether that means returning to sport, play, or daily life.
Ryan earned his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2024, following a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2022. He has pursued additional training in areas such as chronic pain management, concussion management, thoracic outlet syndrome, clinical reasoning, hip injuries, and the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Level 1 and his 2 lower course. Ryan is eager to continue expanding his knowledge, with particular interest in orthopaedics and exercise-based therapy.
Ryan enjoys staying active through a wide range of sports and activities, including hockey, football, baseball, soccer, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, cycling, hiking, and surfing. He completed a marathon using only cross-training (i.e. no running) as part of his unique approach to training for the event. Ryan has over 10 years of experience in resistance training. He has worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the University of Manitoba Bison and Junior Bison programs for the past 3 years which has further enriched his understanding of athletic performance and injury prevention.
