About Sarah
Sarah is studying for her master’s in Couples and Family Therapy at TWU.
She works with individuals, couples, and families, supporting each to connect with their own inner resilience and one another. She offers a warm, empathetic, and attuned presence where you can feel safe and understood. She hopes to meet you where you are at and work with you to make sense of what is going on.
Her approach to care is emotion-focused, trauma-informed, and underpinned by attachment theory. She brings a systemic and relational lens to her work, making space for noticing, discovering, grieving, and integrating the many layers that form and shape us—be that past experiences, power systems, social contexts, and adaptive habits. We can all find ourselves in patterns that aren’t working anymore and here is where Sarah can come alongside navigating the changes you choose. With couples and parents, she works to increase your confidence and capacity to become more accessible, responsive, and emotionally engaged with your loved ones.
She believes change and transformation can happen in the presence of a safe and attuned witness. Modalities and practices she pulls from are Emotionally Focussed Therapy, Child Centred Play Therapy, AEDP, and Sand Tray, with trainings in Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy and Neufeld Intensive One. She incorporates somatic interventions and nervous system co-regulation, holding a safe space for emotions to be fully felt, bringing release. Drawing from her background in settlement services, Sarah has focused her research on supporting those experiencing displacement, transition, acculturation, and cultural identity development, and approaches this with cultural humility and genuineness.
