-------------------------------------------
Sarah (she/her) has worn several hats in the mental health field for a decade. As a settler living and offering services in Treaty 1 territory, Sarah is passionate about the decolonization of systems and seeks to position herself as an ally in reconciliation with this land and the nations who have lived by and preserved its healing gifts. Sarah approaches all clients with curiosity and openness, holding a warm, compassionate space that is inclusive and welcoming of all cultural communities and experiences.
Sarah is enthusiastic about offering neurodivergent affirming support, ensuring the therapeutic space and relationships are welcoming and non-judgmental for her clients. Through a decolonized, primarily narrative lens, Sarah’s client-centered approach prioritizes empowerment by honouring each person as the expert in their own life experience. Bringing in theories such as narrative therapy, internal family systems therapy, and perspectives in attachment, Sarah makes every effort to individualize services, actively encouraging clients to define their goals and direction for growth.
Outside of therapy, Sarah spends time with her teenaged son, three cats, and a morkie, and is often reading and listening to music. She loves spending time outdoors and her favourite place to self regulate is in the woods. Sarah's hobbies (hyperfixations) include drinking coffee, journaling, reading tarot cards, knitting, crocheting, and playing Magic, the Gathering.
