Physiotherapist / Orthotics Shauna has a sports medicine focus in her physiotherapy practice and has dealt with sport injury, biomechanical dysfunctions, gait retraining and post op recovery from surgeries. She uses critical thinking and deductive reasoning to formulate a diagnosis and treats accordingly. She believes active rehabilitation where both parties understand the problem and are actively engaged in the treatment. Her goal is to rehabilitate the patient and to ensure he or she has been given the tools and resources to maintain injury free and at their high level of performance in their sport. Additionally, Shauna has completed certifications in Part A in orthopaedic manual therapy, gait analysis, custom orthotics, and functional dry needling. Shauna treats on Thursday and Saturday afternoons.

« This appointment is for current patients who haven’t seen Shauna in two years or more, or who are coming in with a new injury that’s unrelated to previous treatments. We’ll take the time to reassess your condition and make sure your care plan fits your current needs »

Orthotic AssessmentNew patient

« During this appointment, Shauna will complete a gait analysis and assess if custom orthotics would be beneficial. A deposit of $300 will be taken at this time and $250 at the time of pick up. If orthotics are not recommended this will be billed as a Physiotherapy and Gait Assessment @ $150. Please note - we are not able to direct bill for Orthotics. At the time of pick-up once payment is received in full, we will provide you with the Biomechanical and Gait Analysis and Orthotic Manufacturing Process required by insurance. It is recommended you check with your insurance provider for their exact requirements prior to your appointment. A prescription from your MD for Custom Orthotics is typically required by insurance companies and is not something we provide. »
