Supports 18+ Gina Marie is a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). She has worked in the mental health and addictions field in Toronto since 2008 and became a certified therapist in 2014. Gina Marie practiced in Prince George for the past 4 years as a counsellor at UNBC, supporting university-aged learners on their wellness journeys. Gina Marie particularly enjoys working with young adults, aged 18-35. Gina Marie embodies an anti-oppressive, feminist, trauma-informed framework. Gina Marie works from a Rogerian, person-centered style, prioritizing the therapeutic relationship. Gina Marie likes to work with different modalities that support a compassionate and curious approach, such as nature-informed therapy, narrative therapy, internal family systems therapy, Gabor Mate’s work, art therapy and walk and talk therapy. Gina Marie’s style is not to provide answers, but to ask questions or provide feedback based on what clients share, that may offer space to process, validate and/or provide insight so that clients feel more capable to trust in their own strengths and decision-making skills. Gina Marie believes that the goal in therapy is to support clients in becoming their own therapists outside of session.
