Background
In addition to her previous position as a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist in the UK, Shelly has worked in vestibular rehab, concussion rehab, spasticity and dystonia clinic, facial rehab, hand therapy, and movement disorders clinic. Shelly is currently the Parkinson Society BC physiotherapist, leading the society’s exercise programs and physiotherapy service, and is a certified PD Warrior therapist and trainer. She has also taken the basic Bobath course and the Dance for PD course at Canada’s National Ballet School. Outside of her clinical work, Shelly is the Advocacy Officer in the Global Health Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
In Shelly’s free time, she dances in a modern dance company in the Lower Mainland and is an amateur knitter! Shelly is also a new dog-mom and enjoys daily doggy cuddles
