Dans ses motsShivani completed her Bachelors in Biomedical Physiology at Simon Fraser University. Shivani then continued her studies at the University of British Columbia in Masters of Physical Therapy.
Shivani is certified in dry needling and can perform IMS (intramuscular stimulation).
Shivani’s interest in physiotherapy began during her time at UBC where she worked as a research coordinator working with acute stroke patients. Witnessing the transformative impact of physiotherapy on enhancing mobility and elevating the quality of life for her patients sparked Shivani's passion for actively contributing to their recovery and regaining control over their lives.
Shivani has developed an interest in manual therapy, active rehabilitation, education and sports therapy. Shivani advocates for a holistic approach, aiming to empower clients to play an active role in their rehabilitation journey and optimize their recovery. She adopts a collaborative methodology, working closely with patients to craft personalized treatment plans that help them return to their favorite activities.
Through placements, Shivani has developed clinical experience working with a variety of populations including athlete, pediatrics and geriatrics care. Shivani has managed treatments for various conditions including total hip and knee replacement, neurological conditions, cardiovascular conditions, scoliosis, amputations and stroke patients.
When Shivani is not treating patients, she is exploring the outdoors, going on nature walks and hiking to find the best mountain views.
Shivani can service a variety of clientele in both English and Punjabi.
