Simren Sidhu
À propos de Simren
Dans ses motsI appreciate that each one of us comes from different backgrounds, experiences, and worldviews that contribute to who we are today. Counselling consists of a therapeutic process, where I will guide you through the challenges you are facing and help you explore new ways of thinking and being. I believe that everyone should have a safe, supportive, and non judgemental space to express their feelings and thoughts, where vulnerability is welcomed and encouraged.
As a South Asian woman, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic space and offer valuable insights into fostering cultural inclusivity. My lived experience and growing up in a multicultural society has given me a unique ability to see cultures from a different viewpoint; both the importance of values and beliefs that come from our cultures, whilst also recognizing the internal conflicts they can cause us as individuals.
I have ten years of experience as a Behaviour Interventionist working with children, youth, and adults, with disabilities, such as Autism, ADHD, OCD, and Down Syndrome, that has taught me the importance of consistent support, promoting positive behaviour, and enhancing communication skills.
I am also a Family Lawyer , which allows for a unique perspective on conflict resolution, emotional support, and stress management. My counselling background enhances my ability to listen actively, negotiate effectively, and provide clients with holistic support, whether they are facing a difficult situation or other life-altering matters.
