À propos de Stephanie
Dans ses motsSteph began her journey of supporting new parents in the perinatal period 15 years ago
when she became a certified birth doula after a traumatic birth. Her foundational and
experiential knowledge of the prenatal, birthing and postpartum periods informs her
therapeutic approach. As a mother of 3, Steph knows that entering parenthood is a
challenging and rewarding endeavor that can lead to feelings of stress, overwhelm,
anxiety, burnout, grief, big feelings, parenting concerns and identity issues. She feels
honoured to support individual clients as they grapple with these issues.
Steph sees grief as an inherent part of life. She helps clients explore grief around
relationships, identity, unmet expectations, life transitions, loss, and death. She believes
in the power of bringing the dark into the light, and in the healing process of talking
about the complex feelings of shame, guilt and anger. Steph walks beside clients with
compassion as they explore their stories and emotions. Steph’s modalities and
specialized training include Expressive Arts using IFS, Narrative therapy, and
Mindfulness. She integrates a holistic Feminist approach and welcomes folx from all
backgrounds, identities, relational styles and is 2SLGBTQAI+ affirming.
Stephanie enjoys indulging in a freshly picked strawberry on a hot summer day, adventure, reading, poetry, art, embroidery and time with her family.
