Dans ses mots###Registered Provisional Psychologist
“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day," Winnie-the-Pooh
#####I am trained in CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy, and I support adult (18+) and youth (13+) clients in approaching their mental health and emotional wellness in ways that are impactful and healing.
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist, and I provide sessions both in-person in Sherwood
Park and online to clients across Alberta. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals
experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, ADHD and autism
symptoms, difficulties with interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation, and more.
Prior to becoming a psychologist, I worked as a social coach, engaging with children
experiencing social difficulties and helping them develop skills to navigate friendships, school
challenges, and interpersonal dynamics. This experience gave me a strong foundation in
understanding developmental stages and the importance of early support in fostering resilience.
I have spent a substantial part of my career working with youth, and many of my teenage clients
have shared that therapy with me “feels like talking to a friend,” which I consider a core strength
of my approach.
My clinical training includes formal education in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative
Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I also integrate skills from other approaches,
including Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, attachment theory, and Person-
Centered Therapy. By combining modalities, I can tailor sessions to meet the individual needs of
each client, ensuring therapy is practical, engaging, and impactful.
#####My therapeutic style emphasizes building a warm, supportive rapport with clients while maintaining a strong focus on progress and goal achievement.
Life can be challenging, and it can be invaluable to have someone alongside to navigate
transitions and difficulties. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship, honouring the courage it takes
to be vulnerable and open in therapy.
I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Each session is designed to address the unique goals of
the client, whether that is developing coping strategies, building self-esteem, processing difficult
experiences, or unlearning maladaptive patterns. For some clients, therapy may be a place to
explore feelings and gain insight, while for others, it may involve structured skill-building and goal-oriented work. I aim to create a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported, while also being gently challenged to grow.
#####I am also passionate about supporting girls, women, and non-binary individuals in areas such as self-esteem, identity development, and life transitions.
I work to provide a space where my clients feel validated in their experiences and empowered to
build confidence and resilience.
I also have a particular interest in supporting individuals from South Asian and other minority backgrounds. I understand the dual identities that can come with being part of a minority community and the navigation it requires, and I aim to provide culturally sensitive support for clients managing these complexities.
In addition to my clinical work, I enjoy connecting with clients over shared interests, including anime, video games, and other hobbies. For my personal self-care, I enjoy walking, spending time with family and friends, and exploring the world.
#####I am committed to walking alongside clients through life’s challenges and celebrating their progress.
My approach integrates evidence-based practices with a compassionate, person-centered focus.
Whether a client is seeking support for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, neurodiverse
experiences, or life transitions, I aim to provide individualized care that promotes growth,
resilience, and well-being.
Therapy is a collaborative journey. I work with clients to clarify their goals and ensure each
session contributes to meaningful change. I believe that with empathy, guidance, and the right
strategies, individuals can navigate challenges, gain perspective, and achieve their personal
goals.
