Tanya is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) and a trauma-informed therapist who provides inclusive care to all humans, including gender-affirming care for the LGBTQIA2S+ community. With a warm and compassionate approach, she welcomes clients of all backgrounds and identities.
Tanya works collaboratively with each person to create a treatment plan that truly reflects their needs and goals, blending techniques like Active Release, Trigger Point Release, reciprocal inhibition, and therapeutic exercise to support comfort, function, and overall well-being.
Areas of focus include:
• Certification in Perimenopause /menopause-informed care, helping women understand and navigate physical changes throughout life. Women’s health remains Tanya’s big passion.
• Certification in Breast/chest, oncology, and gender-affirming post-surgical care including but not limited to: Restricted movement, lymph drainage, circulation, scar work, pain, swelling and complications due to surgery. Foundations, Level I and Level II.
• Trauma-informed massage therapy - gentle, consent-based techniques supporting body awareness, grounding, and nervous-system regulation (especially helpful for neurodivergent clients and those healing from complex trauma)
• Neurological care, including work with brain and spinal cord injuries, MS, ALS, stroke, fibromyalgia, and cerebral palsy
• TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction certificate.
Tanya values education, empowerment, and creating a safe space for patients to reconnect with their bodies, no matter what they’re going through.
Outside of work, Tanya enjoys all that BC has to offer — being active outdoors, reading, and spending time with her dog. She’s a sucker for a good pun and loves random facts, especially about the human body.
Tanya also volunteers with a local dog rescue & advocacy group, where she met her first foster dog, Marvin. He had degenerative myelopathy, the canine form of ALS, and since his passing in 2022, Marvin has remained at the heart of her fundraising efforts.
