About Tara
If you're reading this, you've already accomplished one of the most meaningful steps toward healing, allowing yourself to consider that you don't have to navigate this chapter in your life alone. You don’t have to perfectly name the heavy thoughts, decisions, outcomes, or challenges to whatever brought you to this moment.
Life often has a way of changing us. Sometimes gradually, through durations of stress, responsibility, and loss. Other times, in an instant, through heartbreak, trauma, illness, or unexpected life changes. The truth is, we were never meant to stay the same, but we weren't meant to navigate those changes alone either.
Drawing from a strengths-based practice, I utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities through a collaborative and empathetic approach to support clients in making sense of and navigating their story.
Above all, therapy is built on connection. Finding the right therapist is an integral part of the healing process, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients through some of life's most vulnerable moments.
Outside of the therapy room, I am currently completing my Law degree, deepening my ability to integrate mental health and legal advocacy. I also volunteer with the Disability Justice Network of Ontario's prison phone project, reflecting my commitment to equity, justice, and supporting marginalized communities.
