Dans ses motsGraduating in 2006 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto, Tegan has years of experience in both Orthopedic and Sports Injuries and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy. As Chatham’s most experienced Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist, she specializes in helping people recover from ‘common, but not normal’ pelvic floor challenges related to pregnancy, menopause, and prostate cancer. Tegan is a passionate proponent of pelvic health, dedicating herself to raising awareness, breaking down stigma, and properly addressing pelvic floor conditions such as incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain in both men and women.
Tegan is a passionate volunteer, working with amputees in post-earthquake Haiti as well as in Ghana, Africa with pediatric burn rehabilitation. Tegan is the recipient of the 2015 Association of Ontario Health Centres Health Equity Award. This award recognized her innovative efforts in creating Ontario’s first Volunteer-Run Physiotherapy Program, which provided free physiotherapy care to those experiencing barriers to access and health inequity.
Tegan is a highly sought after Educational Speaker, and has served as a Clinical Preceptor for students in Physiotherapy, Midwifery, and Nursing programs throughout Ontario. She has also collected clinical research with investigators through McMaster University.
Tegan’s dream was always to become a Physiotherapist. She comes to Willow Health with a smile each day, delighted to work the most amazing staff and partner with her fantastic patients in achieving their wellness goals.
