About Tiffaney
Hi, my name is Tiffaney! I graduated from Vancouver Career College and have been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2019. During my practicum placements, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including BC Women’s Hospital, UBC Hospital, senior care homes, and office environments.
Originally, I was considering a career in occupational therapy, but I was drawn to massage therapy because of the direct, hands-on impact it can have on people’s lives. Helping clients feel safer, calmer, and more connected to their bodies is one of the most meaningful parts of my work.
My treatment style focuses on stress reduction, tension relief, and calming the nervous system rather than forcing the body through aggressive pressure. I incorporate techniques such as deep breathing, Swedish massage, fascial work, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy using hot stone and heat applications, and stretching. I believe deeper work is often most effective when the body feels safe enough to receive it first.
One analogy about deep tissue massage always stuck with me: deep tissue is a lot like constipation... if you have to force it, you’re probably just going to create more problems. The body responds similarly. When tissue is pushed too aggressively, it tends to guard and resist. My approach focuses on helping the nervous system “let me in” first, allowing deeper release to happen more naturally, comfortably, and effectively over time.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending sunny weekends with my husband and our Yorkie, whether we’re paddle boarding, exploring downtown, or heading out on camping trips. I grew up deep sea fishing for rockcod and lingcod, and I also enjoy cooking, sound baths, aerial and floor yoga, maintaining freshwater aquariums, and learning about the connection between the body and mind.
I look forward to meeting new clients and being part of your wellness journey.
