Toni takes a compassion-focused approach to counselling and believes every individual has a unique story to share. She recognizes that counseling can be a difficult step to take, and strives to create a safe, accepting, and non-judgmental space. She views the therapeutic relationship as an essential part of one's healing journey and endeavors to build a genuine relationship with her clients.
Toni works from a humanistic, trauma-informed lens and combines different therapeutic approaches and interventions to fit the needs of the client. Her therapeutic approaches include Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is also passionate about incorporating attachment theory, psycho-education, and mindfulness exercises into her counseling work. She is affirming all cultures, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
Toni is passionate about helping adolescents, individual adults, and families heal and grow. To accommodate your schedule, she offers a variety of daytime, evening, and weekend appointment times.
