Dans ses motsTy Henry graduated from MacEwan University in 2018. He is a proud member in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta (MTAA). Since then, he has continued to further his training with certifications in cupping therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and RAPID NeuroFascial Reset Therapy. Ty is a member of the Board of Directors for the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta (MTAA), and on the Working Group for the Transitional College for Massage Therapist of Alberta.
He has experience treating a variety of complex, difficult-to-treat musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, as well as human performance sports massage. He has a keen interest in back, hip, and shoulder injuries. Ty has experience treating patients in a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting, having worked alongside physiotherapists, athletic therapists, chiropractors, kinesiologists, acupuncturists, family physicians, sports medicine physicians, and orthopedic physicians. Furthermore, Ty has experience treating professional athletes, having worked in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with The Edmonton Elks. He specializes in athlete-focused preparation from pre-event, post-event and in-season training and off-season recovery treatments.
Ty brings a team-oriented mindset to work towards the goal of the patient. Each interaction is approached with a focused intention to individually treat and educate patients to suit their lifestyles and abilities. Along with Swedish, Therapeutic, and Sports Massage methods promoting relaxation, Ty is specifically interested in and focused on Myofascial Release (MFR) and Muscle Energy Technique (MET). These treatment methods are of a gentle, yet effective rehabilitative nature when addressing pain, soft tissue imbalances and, ultimately, function.
Outside of work, Ty enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, cooking, golfing, and basketball.
