Dans ses motsTyla Tkachyk has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since graduating from Athabasca University with a Master of Nursing/Nurse Practitioner degree in 2014. Prior to this, she graduated from the University of Calgary in 2001 with a Bachelor of Nursing and was employed as a staff RN at the Foothills Medical Centre in areas of trauma surgery, labour and delivery and the Neurotrauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Tyla has a passion for helping patients achieve their health goals, is supportive and compassionate, and strives to listen to and support patients along their life journey. Tyla is further educated with and passionate about hormone replacement therapy, perimenopause, menopause, pregnancy and postpartum, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, gender affirming care, IUD insertions, and supporting patients across their lifespan. She has further training in medical esthetics to help patients with conditions such as migraine headaches and temporal mandibular joint (TMJ) disorder as well as cosmetic treatments with neuromodulators, PRP (platelet rich plasma), and dermal fillers.
In her spare time Tyla enjoys travelling with her family, gardening, dance, and volunteering at a local animal shelter. She looks forward to working with you in your health journey!

« This is for the first visit following the blood test to establish the prescription. This appointment can also be used to book subsequent visits. Follow-up appointments can be every 3-6 months to ensure symptoms and levels are stable. Once stable, on-going appointments may be every year but frequency of appointments is decided with your practitioner. »HRT ConsultNew patient
« This is for new patients seeing Tyla for the first time. The NP will review your health and lifestyle history to assess if you are a good candidate for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. If you are a candidate, a bloodwork requisition will be given. Tests are covered under Alberta Health. Once the results are received, an HRT Plan visit can be booked to discuss a treatment plan. »ConsultationNew patient
« This is for new patients seeing Tyla for the first time. This initial consultation with Tyla, our nurse practitioner involves a complete review of your medical history - physical and mental health screening, discussing your pertinent health concerns, medication and supplement review, and, reviewing labs and/or ordering new labs.
