Born and raised in Vancouver and trained in Nelson, BC, Vanessa is a trauma-informed acupuncturist with a special focus in pain management, nervous system regulation, mental health, women’s health, and cosmetic acupuncture. She creates a safe space where patients are encouraged to actively participate in their healing. She believes that no healing can happen when our bodies are in a state of flight or flight, and aims to create a space for her patients to decompress into a parasympathetic state of what she calls “acu-bliss”
Inspired by the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Vanessa sees the body as naturally intelligent, moving through cycles and rhythms like the seasons. Her work is about supporting this innate ability to restore balance, grow, and flourish—helping patients reconnect with their bodies, feel empowered, and experience health in a deeply personal and lasting way.

Body acupuncture works synergistically by regulating the nervous system, improving microcirculation, and supporting digestion, stress response, and hormonal balance - all factors that can influence the skin.
