Veronica Bear, BSW, RSW, CC-PMH
Veronica is a Registered Social Worker and a Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health Counsellor (CC-PMH) with over 10 years of experience supporting youth and adults through life's challenges. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina in 2016. Her approach is client-centred, inclusive, and non-judgmental. Veronica highly values growth, honesty, and competency.
Veronica has specialized training in perinatal mental health and understands, both professionally and personally, how profoundly transformational and vulnerable this time can be. Her mission as a certified perinatal mental health counsellor and a parent is to create a safe, supportive space where you can reconnect with yourself and gain clarity as you navigate parenthood. She brings both empathy and expertise to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered in your journey. She is equipped to identify perinatal mental distress and recognize the influence of many factors on mental health during this period. She can provide tools to manage anxiety, depression, stress, and cope with the mental load of parenting.
Veronica is passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. She also brings unique expertise in supporting clients living with aging-related concerns and disabilities. Her therapeutic style is client-centred and solution-focused. Veronica integrates evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to meet each client's unique needs.
On a personal note, Veronica enjoys reading, running, cross-stitching, listening to music, and spending time with her family and dog.
