Vineeta Prasad, MACP, RCC I AM ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS! My client focus is teens and adults and I am particularly passionate about helping individuals with immigrant or diaspora experiences. Do you ever find yourself reacting to something and wondering, “where did that come from?” or thinking, “that doesn’t feel like me?”. As humans, we are like sponges absorbing the energy, beliefs, and patterns of those around us. We carry experiences, passed down through generations and hold on to things that no longer align with the life we want to live. In my work, I collaborate with clients to create a therapeutic experience that reflects their unique values, culture, and goals. I draw from multiple approaches to ensure that your healing journey feels integrated with all aspects of your life, not separate from it. My goal is to provide a mindful, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect on what is working and what isn’t. I will teach you to use tools and cultivate practices that genuinely feel right for you, no matter what life brings. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Family Studies from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have 11 years of experience working with individuals from a variety of populations in different community settings. I have been a part of the Three Sisters Counselling team for the past 3 years! The therapeutic methodologies I use incorporate approaches from CBT, DBT, Mindfulness and Somatic Therapy. The Issues I am passionate about treating include anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment concerns, relationship issues (familial, romantic and platonic), and stress management, to name a few.
