William Hermiston
À propos de William
Dans ses motsI am a Registered Social Worker (OCSWSSW) with over 5 years of experience supporting children between the ages of 8 to 18, and anyone above the age of 18 as well. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that every person has unique strengths that can be built upon to create meaningful change.
My clinical experience includes providing psychotherapy through community mental health agencies, structured psychotherapy programs, and youth and family services. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and regularly integrate Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy into my work. I strive to tailor therapy to each individual's goals, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing and growth.
I have a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety-related concerns, depression, trauma, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and challenges related to self-esteem and identity. I also have experience working with children, youth, and families, helping them strengthen communication, build coping skills, and navigate difficult life circumstances.
My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or seeking personal growth, I look forward to working alongside you to develop practical strategies and create lasting positive change.
