About Yvette
Yvette is a BC RMT who is passionate about helping people reduce pain, recover from
injury, and improve the way they move. She graduated from Vicars School of Massage
Therapy and holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Movement (Kinesiology) with High
Distinction from RMIT University in Australia. Her background in sports science, and
strength and conditioning, provides a strong foundation in biomechanics, rehabilitation,
and exercise prescription.
With years of massage therapy and rehabilitation experience, Yvette has worked with an
expanse of clients, from recreational and competitive athletes to individuals managing
everyday stresses, aches, pain and discomfort. Yvette has a special interest in treating
clients with sporting injuries, movement restrictions, musculoskeletal dysfunction,
headaches, neck pain and low back pain. Her treatments are tailored to each client's
unique needs and may incorporate swedish and deep tissue massage, myofascial
techniques, joint mobilizations, muscle energy techniques, movement techniques, and
therapeutic exercise.
Yvette believes that effective treatment considers both the body and the nervous system.
While helping clients restore movement and function is a primary focus, she also
recognizes that reducing stress, encouraging relaxation, and supporting nervous system
regulation are important components of recovery and overall well-being. She strives to
create a welcoming, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, supported, and
empowered to achieve their health and wellness goals.
