Hannah O’Brien, B.A., RP-(Qualifying)
Registered Psychotherapist – (Qualifying)
Welcome! I'm Hannah O’Brien, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges. With a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology from Carleton University and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, I am eager to support you on your journey toward personal growth and well-being.
I practice using a range of therapy modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Narrative Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy. My approach is rooted in empathy and authenticity, ensuring treatment is tailored to your unique needs and experiences.
My areas of focus include managing anxiety, depression, stress, and self-esteem issues, as well as supporting clients through addictions, grief and loss, and significant life changes. Whether you're an individual, child (7+ yrs), teenager, or part of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community, I am here to provide a safe and supportive space for you.
I offer both virtual and in-person sessions with daytime and evening availability, making it easier for you to find the support you need when you need it.
Many of the clients I see come to therapy feeling uncertain, stuck, or overwhelmed by their emotions. I strive to create a space of trust and understanding where you feel heard and respected, allowing us to work collaboratively toward meaningful change. By fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, I aim to empower you to explore your thoughts and emotions, ultimately supporting you in achieving your goals and living a more fulfilling life.
Remember, it's all about taking things "one day at a time." I am currently accepting new clients, and I look forward to working with you on your journey to wellness.
