I began my 16 years of Physical Therapy experience in a major multidisciplinary rehabilitation centre for neurologic diseases in the Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke Rehabilitation unit in Tel Aviv, Israel. After 3 years, I continued my practice in a specialized orthopedic clinic. In 2009, I moved to beautiful La Ronge with my family, and worked for Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services as a Group Home Manager for 2 years. I then moved to the La Ronge Health Center where I have been practicing physical therapy for the past 10 years. I worked with developmentally delayed pediatric children, Acute Care patients in the hospital, elders in Long-term Care, wheelchair fittings and assisted devices, and Muscular Skeletal treatment. I have taken courses with the Canadian Orthopedic Division, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and dry needling treatments. I have my Level 2 Yoga teacher certification and have practiced Yoga as self-care for my entire adult life. On my path of learning in Israel, La Ronge, and the North, I’ve expanded my professional knowledge to include a variety of specialized and general Physical Therapy areas. I’m privileged to use my experience to serve this beautiful community that I am proud to call home. La Ronge allows me to enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle that includes cross country skiing and canoeing.
