"If your compassion does not include yourself, it is not complete.” – Jack Kornfield
My Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and my B.A. in Intercultural Communication are the foundation of my practice: I know there is more to you than meets the eye and I welcome all parts of you into our work together. I believe safety is the key to curiosity, and curiosity is the key to everything else.
You want to connect deeper to your core self, and navigate life’s big and small challenges with more ease...but there's something getting in the way. Maybe you wish you had stronger boundaries, more emotional balance, greater daily joy; perhaps you'd like to be less dependent on a current coping mechanism, but you aren't sure how to go about it; or maybe you've noticed certain patterns in your relationships and you'd like to get to the root of the problem.
There are no gold stars for doing it all alone; if you're feeling stuck anywhere in life, we'll figure out together what is holding you back and grow from there.
Drawing from person-centered therapies alongside a variety of trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities, we will explore the tools that will allow you to get to where you're growing. I work with individuals who are experiencing feelings of anxiety, depression, loneliness, low self-esteem as well as people who feel dissatisfied with their career or family life, struggle with substance use, self-esteem, food-related concerns or anger. These are just examples - I'm not interested in putting you in a box.
I realize you're balancing work, family, friends - we can meet virtually so you don't spend your valuable time commuting, or we can meet in person in the cozy Yaletown office: let's do what makes sense for you.
