60 minDesigned to help you and your support person(s) feel confident, informed, and prepared for labour and birth. Recommended around 34 weeks of pregnancy, this session covers movement and positioning options for each stage of labour, strategies to optimize comfort, and hands-on techniques your support person can use to help you stay comfortable and connected throughout the birth experience. You'll leave with practical tools that can be applied to both medicated and unmedicated births, including breathing strategies, pushing techniques, advocacy tips to help you navigate your birth preferences, and guidance on what to expect in the early postpartum period. We'll also discuss ways your support person can best assist you during labour and review considerations for cesarean birth and recovery.
